The Fall of Humpty
Dark,Depressive,ChillFrFrederick Koen
(Verse 1) Cracks in the shell, whispering dread, Perched on the wall where the lost souls tread. A nursery rhyme, a lullaby lie, But shadows dance where the broken ones die. (Chorus) Humpty Dumpty, falling slow, Shattered pieces, blood runs cold. All the king’s horses, all the king’s men, Left him to rot in the dark again. (Verse 2) Eyes like marbles, hollow and wide, A crooked smile, no tears to cry. The wind was laughing, calling his name, Before he slipped from the wall of shame. (Chorus) Humpty Dumpty, falling slow, Shattered pieces, blood runs cold. All the king’s horses, all the king’s men, Left him to rot in the dark again. (Verse 3) But the ground remembers every fall, A haunting voice, a ghostly call. His pieces whisper in the night, A cursed soul, lost in twilight. (Bridge) They never meant to save him, Just to watch him crack. The echoes of his final scream, Still clawing through the black. (Outro) Now he lingers, whispers deep, A ghost in rhyme, a song in sleep. A lesson learned, a tale retold, Not all broken things are meant to be whole.
