Prompt / Lyrics
We are the body, Christ our head, Each member knit, no longer dead. A tapestry of gifts and grace, In unity, we find our place. One Spirit breathes, one purpose clear, To spread His love, and quell all fear. Connected close, a living vine, His light in us, forever shine. Eyes see the need, the hands will serve, The feet will walk, the heart preserve. No part alone can stand apart, But joined in love, fulfill our part. For in this body, we are one, A symphony of life begun. So let us strive, with hearts sincere, To build His church, and hold Him near. We are the Church, His holy Bride, United in love, side by side. One Body, with purpose clear, To spread His light, and conquer fear. In every heart, His spirit dwells, A story of grace, our chorus tells. So let us sing, with voices strong, To Christ our King, where we belong. The Church of God, a sacred name, One body, though with roles aflame. The Bride of Christ, adorned in grace, Reflecting love in every place. His children, born of spirit new, A people set apart, and true. The saints of God, a holy band, United by His loving hand. One group we are, though names may vary, Each member called, our souls to carry. The light of Christ, a beacon bright, To guide the lost from darkest night. So let us live, in harmony, A testament for all to see. The love of God, in us revealed, His promise kept, His purpose sealed. We are the Church, His holy Bride, United in love, side by side. One Body, with purpose clear, To spread His light, and conquer fear. In every heart, His spirit dwells, A story of grace, our chorus tells. So let us sing, with voices strong, To Christ our King, where we belong. One Body, Lord, though many parts, Each local church, reflecting hearts. Yet grander still, a union vast, Believers joined, from present, past. A mystical connection true, In Christ we live, our souls renew. Through every age, in every place, We share His love, His saving grace. May I embrace each kindred soul, And in their lives, Your work extol. To fellowship with open hand, And see Your grace in every land. Rejoice to witness faith's display, As sons of God light up the way. In unity, our spirits blend, Till we meet You, world without end. We are the Church, His holy Bride, United in love, side by side. One Body, with purpose clear, To spread His light, and conquer fear. In every heart, His spirit dwells, A story of grace, our chorus tells. So let us sing, with voices strong, To Christ our King, where we belong. First Corinthians 12 27 Lord, There are many members but one Body. And if each local church is "a body of Christ, " there is still that bigger, single, all-encompassing "the Body of Christ. " There is a mystical union among all believers of all time and in all places who have been placed in union with your Son. May I fellowship freely with all true sons of God that I meet and rejoice to see the work you have done in their lives. In Jesus name, Amen. One body
