The Hag's Bells

Whispering watcher carry a tale of old

Little feet dancing along cobblestones cold

Children laugh, as the shadows leap,

Causing Mischief of merry,

Their little hearts to keep

Innocence shining, pure and bright,

Playing in the fading light

But beware the nights call,

When the hag begins to crawl

Her silvery bells ringing loud,

As she makes her rounds.

Run like a rabbit, break free tonight,

Fear’s in the air, ready to steal you out right

Her bells are ringing,

beware the hag

If she catches you,

You’re fate is threw…

Be swift, be sly, stay out of her sight,

A child’s fright, is her delight.

Run now little rabbit

May you take heed.

The stories a warning, to hold your breath

Children safe, wild and free.
