1 Samuel 2

In Shiloh's temple a mother's heart cries
Hannah's prayer ascends to the skies
Barren no more a promise conceived 
A son is born a blessing received 
Young Samuel hears a voice in the night 
Speak Lord for your servant listens with all his might
In sacred courts his destiny unfolds
A prophet's journey as the story beholds 
Then Saul once chosen now lost in despair 
His crown feels heavy his spirit laid bare
He turns from guidance his pride takes its toll
A kingdom slipping losing control
Regret and shadows cloud his weary eyes 
As disobedience echoes through darkened skies
The weight of failure a heavy chain

From Bethlehem’s fields a shepherd boy came
David with harp and heart aflame 
Anointed in secret a king yet unknown 
His destiny whispered on breezes blown
Then Jonathan's bond a friendship so true
A prince's loyalty forever in view
Despite his father's rage their spirits align
A covenant of love in every line
Goliath's challenge a giant's cruel taunt
David's courage rises a hero to flaunt
With faith as his weapon and stone as his guide
The Philistine fall his arrogance died
Yet Saul's envy burns a treacherous fire
Pursuit unending fueling his ire
David flees onward through wilderness deep
While Saul's obsession his soul won't keep

Midnight whispers through the valley’s throat 
Saul's shadow fades where the spirits float
Endor calls a forbidden flame
A witch in the dark calling Samuel’s name
Why you wake me why you call me here
Prophecy’s weight now heavy with fear
The crown you wore  slips through your hands
A kingdom built on sinking sands
No answer from the sky no word from the stone
When you're lost in the silence you're truly alone
David weeps his harp in hand
For Jonathan's love for the broken land
Arrows flew and the mighty fell
A song of sorrow no words can quell
Mountains weep rivers cry
Heroes don't fade they multiply 
Through grief's veil he lifts his face 
A promise made a kingdom's grace
Kingdoms rise kingdoms fall
Echoes in the hall they answer the call
Tears for the fallen blood on the ground 
The throne is empty but the truth is found
