His teachings stand, a timeless guide, His promises, where truths reside. Love's command, a sacred plea, To live in grace, eternally. Parables deep, with hidden lore, Beatitudes, forevermore. Warnings echo, through the age, In every line, a sacred page. We search and seek, with humble hearts, For wisdom's touch, that sets apart. Though knowledge grows, and years may wane, His boundless truth will still remain. Through ancient words, His light still gleams, A timeless voice, beyond our dreams. We seek His truth, in every line, The love of Jesus, forever shines. Two thousand years, a timeless quest, To learn the truths, that Jesus blessed. Through ages vast, His wisdom calls, An open door, for one and all. The first disciples, eyes alight, Believed His return, in their own sight. But time moved on, and shadows crept, They knew His words must be kept. To write it down, a sacred task, While memories lived, behind the mask. Of mortal minds, that soon would fade, His legacy, must be conveyed. Collected sayings, letters penned, To churches sent, a guiding blend. A wealth of knowledge, to impart, The truths of Jesus, to each heart. Through ancient words, His light still gleams, A timeless voice, beyond our dreams. We seek His truth, in every line, The love of Jesus, forever shines. Though gaps remain, in stories told, Gratitude for scribes of old. Who penned the tales, with hearts ablaze, Of Jesus' life, and wondrous ways. The Gospels four, a sacred find, Each with its truth, for heart and mind. Mark's vivid deeds, a swift display, Luke, Matthew, added words that sway. From Mark they drew, and sayings too, John's deeper insights, clear and true. Revealing Christ, in every line, His divine nature, so sublime. We'll never grasp, the boundless whole, But seek His truth, to feed the soul.
