Every thought racing like it’s stuck in a chase

They say I been wronged, say the world owe blood

Say pain need payment, say balance the flood

Say nobody listening, nobody care

So why keep pretending like life been fair?

I’m gripping my temples, trying to breathe

Trying to separate truth from the things they weave

They dress up rage like it’s destiny

But I know that ain’t who I’m meant to be

“Stop acting weak, you know what to do.”

“They hurt you first — now hurt them too.”

“You scared? That’s cute.”

They telling me to cross that final route

Every dark suggestion beating in my chest

They scream, “One move, it’ll fix this mess”

But one wrong step, I’m forever possessed

I ain’t every scar that live in my mind

You feeding me lies like they medicine

But revenge don’t cure what’s been hurting him

I know pain can twist up the lens

Make wrong feel right in the heat of revenge
