In faith we grow

Year's end arrives, Christmas lingers on

Grateful hearts for gifts from dusk till dawn.

God's Son in flesh, a mystery profound

How could divinity on Earth be bound

We grasp it not, this sacrifice of grace

Nor comprehend our eternal, heavenly place

With Jesus joined, in life that knows no end

A future veiled, as new year we ascend

He walked as man, this Savior, meek and mild

Grew in wisdom, as a little child

His mission dawned, a purpose to fulfill

Yet emptied self, surrendering His will

Divinity veiled, understanding dim

He chose to serve, for love that flowed from Him

So trust the path, though shrouded deep in haze

His love will guide us through our earthly days

Jesus, the infant, divine and tru

A human journey, for me and u

In faith we grow, in knowledge find

Our earthly mission, with heart and mind

So let us seek, with open eyes

The path He walked, to paradise

A year of growth, a time to see

The Savior's love, eternally

Yet knowing not the path that lay ahead

He embraced the mission though dangers spread

Good News He brought a message pure and bright

Challenging darkness standing for the light

The wrath of those in power, He would face

Religious leaders rulers of that place.l

Resentment stirred as truth began to bloom

Against the empire sealed His earthly doom

But still He walked with purpose in His stride

The Roman rule and hate He would abide

To ponder now this nature intertwined

Divine and human in 1 heart and mind

The infant small a Savior 2 become

From humble birth, His kingdom here to come

So let us gaze with wonder and with awe

On Christ the child fulfilling heaven's law

Not born with wisdom speaking words of mite

He grew in grace and walked towards the lite

No special powers marked His early days

But lessons learned in humble human ways

He needed teaching guidance from above

To study Scripture filled with God's own love

The carpenter's son from Joseph's hand

He shaped the wood and learned 2 understand

And Mary new the joys and trials 2

A mother's love 4 all her children do

He wouldn't grasp His nature vast and deep

Until the moment when He fell asleep

Our earthly mission veiled until the end

How well we lived how faithfully we'd tend

So let this year a time of growth become

In faith and knowledge till our journey's done

Lord
