No One Asked How I’m Doing

I checked on them when I was low,

Held their pain while mine said “go.”

They called me strong — that title stuck,

But deep inside, I’d had enough.

I give and give, don’t get it back,

But still show love, and that’s a fact.

A room full of people, yet I feel unseen,

Smiling for cameras while I silently scream.

Just assumed I was fine.

Didn’t see what I was ruining

Just to keep peace in line.

I said “I’m good,” and they took it and left,

Didn’t see me drownin’ in debt —

Of emotions I never got paid for.

No one asked… and I stayed torn.

Text my phone when they need advice,

But never when they just wanna see if I’m alright.

I’m the rock, the fix, the go-to man,

But who’s there when I break my own plan?

Anxiety on my chest like bricks,

Depression whisperin’ dirty tricks.

But I still show up — tired, and true…

Even when I’m fallin’ through.
