Philippians 4:13
Dust in the streets of Philippi town
Boots of Rome keep marching around
Merchants calling, coins in their hands
While faith grows quiet across the land
In hidden rooms by candlelight
They whisper truth in the dead of night
Not much to give, not much to eat
Still they gather on weary feet
Chains on a man in a distant place
But hope still written in every page
Philippians 4:13
In the struggle, in between
Not a crown, not victory
But the strength to still believe
Philippians 4:13
When you’ve got nothing, still you lean
Through the hunger, through the strain
Christ is strength in loss and pain
From prison walls the letter came
Not for glory, not for fame
“I’ve been full and I’ve been low
Still there’s one thing that I know”
Cold stone floors and iron bars
Don’t hide faith, don’t dim the stars
Every word like fire inside
Strength ain’t gone, just purified
Not saying life will go your way
But you’ll stand through it anyway
Philippians 4:13
In the breaking, in the unseen
Not a promise you’ll succeed
But the strength for what you need
Philippians 4:13
In the dark, you’re not alone
Through it all, come what may
He will help you find your way
Not for riches, not for pride
Not to say you’ll never cry
But when everything is gone
You’ll still have the strength to go on
Philippians 4:13
More than words, it’s everything
Not a life without the fight
But the strength to stand upright
Philippians 4:13
Through the storm and through the fire
When the world falls underneath
Christ is all the strength you need
