Breathing Through The fall

One moment I’m soaring, the sky feels so near

Then I’m pulled under, swallowed by fear

Smiles in the mirror start to crack

No one hears when the light fades to black

I can't describe what changes me

A stranger to my sanity

This is the storm behind my eyes

Where silence weeps and daylight dies

I blaze with fire, then turn to stone

I burn, then freeze and face it alone

Spinning fast, then barely move

A truth I live, not one I choose

But in the dark, I softly call

Still breathing through the fall

I shut the world out, the light feels loud

I disappear, lost in the crowd

The weight is nameless, but always near

A quiet ache I’ve learned to fear

Some days I shine, some days I fade

Held together by threads I’ve frayed
