Time To Rest

It’s time for me to retreat. 
To get back on my feet. 
Distance myself from the chaos affecting me.
Life sure has been overwhelming. 
It’s time to focus on healing 
Time to take care of me. 
God, I trust that you will hold me in the palm of your hand. 
I’m not quitting, I’ll still keep your commands. 
I need to rest and I know that you understand. 
I’m taking time out for me while still growing in you. I’ve got to care for my body. Care for my soul. Keep my spirit aligned with you 
let go of what I cannot control. 
Living one day at a time. 
I’m going to rest before continuing to climb 
the mountain ahead. Before continuing on this quest, I need to rest to be all I can be for you.

I need to prepare instead. 
Catch my breath for what is ahead. 
The mountain looks steep.
