In Christ, a rebirth, a slate wiped clean

Old chains shattered, a brand new scene

Yesterday's gone, no lookin' back

A fresh start given, ain't no turnin' back on that

New heart, new mind, new soul takes flight

Darkness fades, bathed in His light

The past is buried, a distant shore

Step into freedom, forevermore

No condemnation, no guilt, no shame

Just grace and mercy, whispering His name

A life transformed, a spirit renewed

In Christ we're stronger, forever imbued

So cast off the old, embrace the new day

Walk in His purpose, light up the way

A new creation, His love defined

Ends in the dust, the sting of death

A transformation for all to see

Submit to the Lord, believe and trust

Leave the old behind, turn to dust

From mortal coil to spirit free

Embrace the change, eternity

So let go of the past, the hurt, the fear

From end to endless, a divine decree

Each moment cherished a sacred trust

In Your grace I rise from dust

2 Corinthians 5:17

Lord,

I want to be closer to you, my God. Give me the courage to follow your word and believe in all the good that you have given to those of us that struggle to comprehend. Help me to comprehend and I will live everyday like that gift that it is. I will do this as your son, Jesus Christ, showed me, and it is in his name that I pray. Amen
