At the Creeks edge

In a far away land 
There's a village inside a court
With an open door policy
Where everyone knows your name

So they left her there where
The edge became less steep 
And
She slid down on her side 
Into the Creek 

Adventures with cousins 
Picking flowers for hours
With the daughter of 
A neighbor named Mary Lu

Eyes keeping close watch 
Through kitchen windows
