I’ve walked through nights that never seemed to end

Prayed with clenched fists, lost a lover, lost a friend

Tears on the floor, thunder in my chest

Begging for mercy, crying for rest

But somehow in the silence, when the breaking feels too loud

I hear a whisper in the chaos, steady through the doubt

Every storm passes, every night fades

Every wound teaches, every heartache shapes

I’ve seen the rain fall hard but grace fall harder

I’ve felt the wind, but never been torn apart

It’s not the pain that proves He’s gone it’s the peace that proves He’s here

I’ve cursed the sky, thought He left me alone

But looking back, I see footprints through the stone

He didn’t stop the fire but He stood in the flame

And even in loss, He loved me the same
