Forgivin is a Gift to Give

I held the pain so deep inside,
It burned my peace and hurt my pride.
But when I bowed my head to pray,
Jehovah helped me see His way.

He knows the weight I couldn’t bear,
He showed me mercy rich and rare.
He wiped the tears I tried to hide,
And softened all the hurt inside.

Forgivin’ is a gift I give,
A better way to learn to live.
To let the hurt just drift away,
And find Jehovah’s peace today.

Forgivin’ don’t mean wrong was right,
It means I’m walkin’ in His light.
I’m lettin’ go, I’m breathin’ free,
Jehovah’s love is healin’ me.

His Son who died my soul to save.
If He can wipe the slate so clean,
I’ll follow Him through what that means.
