This Love Is Done, Is She Going To Survive?

I’ve fought through storms, through the fire’s burn,

For us, for love, I’d never turn.

But shadows creep, whispering

of a unrelenting darkness,

Trying to tear apart my heart.

I met him wide-eyed, just three years ago,

A spark in his gaze, a fire’s glow.

From love to battles, I fought so hard,

To keep alive what we once starred.

They tell me to walk away, to run, to hide,

But I see the man I fell in love with inside.

He’s a deadly man, a ruthless storm,

Yet I cling to the love, so torn, so worn.

I want to reach his soul, find where he hides,

Beyond the lies and the ruthless pride.

But all I see, in the end, is broken glass,

My heart shattered, nothing left of our past.

They scream, “Leave him, turn him in, please,"

But I see the man beneath his disease.

He’s a game, a cheater, a player, a deadly grace,

Still, I chase him through this haunted space.

I try harder, falling deeper into

The darkness of his inner soul,

Trying to find his true, innocent spark.

But all I hold, behind his cold disguise,

Is a hollow shell that never replies.

Held on through hell, I fought for the light,

Hoping someday, I’d mend what’s right.

But the more I reach, the more I bleed,

Lost in the shadows of his deadly needs.

So I stand here, broken and alone,

The love I fought so hard to own.

He’s gone, lost to the ruthless guise,

Only my shattered heart remains, and it cries.

But yet? There’s still a piece that longs,

in the end is where my heart and soul dies.

Unrepairable. Now it’s all a beaten broken shell of what I’d once was.
