Ghost of a Stranger

Born into fists no cradle to hold

Bruises on skin stories untold

Eyes learned shadows never the light

Heart grew cold in the dead of night

Shouts and cracks they echo my veins

Built from splinters and swallowed pains

Hollowed out soul screaming for peace

But the chains of the past never release

Can't love can't feel only survive

A ghost of a man barely alive

Every touch burns every word a knife

This is the wreckage of my life

Grew up running nowhere to go

Carrying scars I never let show

Eyes meet the mirror what do I see

A stranger who looks too much like me

Caged by the echoes locked in my head

Can't silence the voices they scream instead

Tried to rebuild but the walls won't fall

Just a prisoner behind it all

Can't love can't feel only survive
