Where is my money?

Promises of green, I chase them endlessly.

But every single day, it feels like I play,

A game I'll never win, just a fading memory.

Working hard but not enough,

I generate sweat, my muscles stretch and tough.

In the end, still not enough,

Counting all my pennies, man, it feels so rough.

I need money, the dream that I bet,

So little I get, this burden I can’t forget.

Working whole day long, night shifts come too,

Just to scrape by, what am I meant to do?

Bills piling up, just a wave of the tide.

No new clothes, no shoes, just old me and my pride,

Chasing after shadows, in this world, we reside.

From seconds to hours, little breaks I take,

No time to waste, every move feels like fate.

Dreaming of more, but the grind holds me tight,

With every single hour, my soul starts to fight.

I want money, it feels like a jest,

Hard labor echoes, but I’m failing the test.

Not fair, isn’t it? This struggle I face,

We’re all in this race, so it’s time to embrace.
