King of Egypt ordered to all the mid wives
Hebrew woman daughters live and sons will die
Moses helped filled the troughs to water
Of the seven daughters invited to eat bread with their father
Out of the desert under the hot sky
Sand burning feet hearing people's cry
A bush on fire but not consumed
Deliver my people from Egypt I'm here to send you
What's that in thine hand cast to the ground it went
The rod from the power of God became a serpent
Pharaoh's heart harden with a stone cold stare
Plagues rained down but he didn't care
The waters turned bloody frogs leaped on the land
Still his fist gripped tight on the weary hand
Red sea parted walls of water stood tall
We walk through freedom heard the chains fall
Pharaoh's pride sank with his army in the tide
We danced on the shore joy couldn't hide
Manna fell from heaven in the wilderness bare
Still hearts of stone filled with doubt and despair
Golden idols rose as the mountain quaked
A covenant carved but the truth was fake
Let my people go free across the wild sea
Break these chains that bind to capacity
With a pillar of fire and a cloud in the day
We'll chase freedom’s light to a promised stay
Through desert vast and wild we tread
Leaving behind the chains we shed
A pillar of fire led the way
A promise whispered to a brighter day
Mountains quake as the thunder roars
His voice etched laws on stone doors
Golden idols fell to dust
A holy rage broke fragile trust
He sent us manna starry night
A taste of hope in hunger’s fight
Promises carved by fire above
Guided us with his endless love
Through plagues of darkness rivers red
Through cries of anguish tears we shed
We walked in faith though weak the soul
With him above we are made whole
Rise up now and claim the sky
The seas will part though waves stand high
With freedom's wind on our face
We march as one to a boundless grace
