In the beginning

God created the heaven and the earth

In the beginning the void it was

No land no sea no heaven above

Then came the words the start of life

Let there be light the darkness hides

Skies divide into blue and gray

Land and sea began to sway

Green grew tall where silence lay

Breathing life into clay

In the beginning

A bush on fire but not consumed

Deliver my people from Egypt I'm here to send you

We walked in faith though weak the soul

With him above we are made whole

Rise up now and claim the sky

The seas will part though waves stand high

With freedom's wind on our face

We march as one to a boundless grace

Guided by the one unseen

Through the shadows of the dream

The book of light and law

Through the dust we stand in awe

Bound by lines divine decree

A path of faith to set us free

In the wilderness we count the souls

Marching together thats how we roll

Census taken each name in line

Building a nation with purpose divine

From the camp to the promise traveled far

Guided by faith like a shining star

The book of numbers

Wandering hearts beyond the sea

A land of milk and honey waits for thee

Through trials through fire we have soared

Guided by the law of the lord

Forty years we walk this path

Through endless hope through burning wrath

Yet his love never turns away

A covenant that will never sway

The book of Deuteronomy

When the trumpets sound and the voices cry

See the walls come tumbling from the sky

Step in faith let courage lead

The book of Joshua plants the seed

The cycle spins round again

Doubt and faith on different ends

When they fall they rise once more

The judges knocking at the door

The book of judges

Where you go I'll go too

Through the storm skies so blue

Your people mine your God my guide

Together strong side by side

The book of Ruth

Battles fought the ark was sealed

God's power in the fields was revealed

Prophets speak the truth burns real

Book of Samuel the covenant deal

Hear the call let the truth unfold

Prophets rise and the story is bold

Through the judges and the kings we see

The hand of God shaping destiny

This is second Samuel his legacy's alive

Through the valleys of pain battles he survived

A man of flaws a king of grace

Carved in Scripture an eternal place

The kings they come the kings they go

The lessons written in the winds they blow

Turn the pages feel the glory unfold

Every word is fire every story's been told
