My testimony

I always knew God, a believer from the start

But my life's compass strayed, playing a different part

Living what I thought was good, a heart that meant no harm

Family secure, career strong, weathering every storm

Providing well, in my eyes, I had it all

But looking back, I stumbled, destined to fall

Each day I missed Him, took blessings for granted

A path misguided, a soul disenchanted

I see now, it wasn't right, this life I led

Not acknowledging Him, the words left unsaid

Like every sinner, I needed to see the light

Adjust my course, and set my spirit right

His will's the best, a truth I now embrace

A lesson learned, with humility and grace

Believe it or not, you'll find it's true

Hopefully not too late, for me and for you

Life took a turn, a lesson hard and deep

Now I understand, the promises to keep

Blessed to see the light, the path now clear

Accept each blessing, hold it ever dear

It's not about us, it's bigger than our strife

As my world crumbled, a different kind of lif.

Lost family, friends, health began to fade

Heart failure struck, a heavy price I paid

No work, no means, survival turned to dust

Depending on others, in whom do I trust

What's truly important, the truth starts to unfold

Depression creeps in, a story to be told

Hopelessness lingers, a shadow in the night

A fork in the road, where darkness fights the light

Destruction's path, or a way to break free

A choice to make, for eternity

By the hands of God, grace was shown to me

A gift for all, for eternity

With free will's choice, I turned to accept

Blessed in hardship, my spirit kept

For without the fall, I'd still be lost

In a place of comfort, counting the cost

Everything happens for a reason, it's true

My spiral downfall, a path anew

To rise again, I had to see

God's sovereignty, the key to be free

Don't wait for the storm to find your way

I testify now, don't delay

Satan's kingdom, destined to end

If you're not right with God, where do you stand

He can give you comfort, a deceptive hold

But true comfort comes when you surrender your soul
