Devil Came Knocking

Somewhere between now and then

I walked out of hell and started to live

My journey was long broken and dark

God had the light

But hell knew it would win

Blood sweat and tears that’s what I gave

Just to see another day

My brain broke

The devil came

He took my body and my name

My soul he tried but was denied

The light inside is too damn bright

Hoping pleading making deals

Coasting down that lifeless hill

Searching for peace of mind

Always out fighting time

The devils been for meany years

Whispering inside my ear I don’t belong I never will a bloom of hope it will change

My brain broke

the devil came

I stand firm in my belief

That the devils been after me

Trying to steal what is mine

The voice I hide deep inside
