Prompt / Lyrics
Her whole life was shattered in an instant one day. The world came to a screeching stop, And froze that moment forever in time. She could have quit living, Curl up in bed and hid, With nothing more to say. Turned against life, Sour as a lime. No one would have blamed her, We all would have understood. But that's not what she did. No, that's not what she did. She became a warrior of the best kind. She gathered all of her inner strength, And went to war. If you need an ear to listen, A shoulder to cry on, A friend in the middle of the night, Someone to talk you down, She's always there. The time is always right. She forsakes her own health, And pushes on with little to no sleep. For her, it's not about wealth, A burning flame she does keep. She's the strongest woman I know. I'm not sure how she stays on the go, Never forsaking anyone, Giving all she has and then some. She is truly a woman to love, A gift to us from God above. I'm proud to call her friend, And I will stand with her to the end.
