Ahead of their time in a world not ready

Two links of chain incomplete

Aimlessly wandering the street

....

I look around at everyone else

All of them look whole to me

Cos in my side is a space, an opening

Spent everyday

Trying to ignore

My disconnection

My obvious flaw

A break in my core

Feels like there's supposed to be more

But nobody else but me

Has holes in their link, Im broken. Im incomplete

Never a moment, thoughts would fade

All I want is to disappear

I need to get the fuck away get me out of here

...

Everything I tried to attach or glue

None of them stuck nothing would stay

No matter what it always fell, leaving me broken again

I had no idea

I was trying to fill it with plastic

But I'm made of steel

And then,

There he was,

From I don't know where because,

He appeared in my life in a blink

With a break in his chain too just right for us to link.

He was a little less damaged than me

And so hopefully,

The solder will hold

Till we go grey and grow old

I've never seen anyone else like me

A break in their chain, he has to be

The one I choose

To link myself with ive got nothing to lose.

Years go by & we decide

To create some more links

To complete our chain of 5.

We worked hard to strengthen our core

To carry the load more evenly than before

No clue from here

Our next move, when or where

So trusting the process now

Swinging in life, maintains the chain and thats how

We will stay connected i think
