In Jesus' mission, love's true call, A world divided, destined to fall. For justice sought, and hearts so pure, Hate's bitter sting, we must endure. The poor and needy, Jesus' care, Early Christians, their burdens share. Love's bond uniting, a sacred tie, In selfless giving, spirits fly. Deacons appointed, to serve with grace, Equality's banner, in time and space. No discrimination, a righteous plea, Justice for all, for you and me. "Us" and "them," a world estranged, Sacrifice demanded, hearts rearranged. Yet love's persistence, a beacon bright, Guiding us onward, toward truth and light. Love and justice, a guiding light, First John chapter 3, shining bright. Lay down our lives, for sisters and brothers, Love one another, as He loved others. Feed the poor, shelter the lost, No mention of friend, whatever the cost. Not worthiness sought, but need embraced, In Jesus' command, love interlaced. Hate's venomous whispers, a world misled, Dividing hearts, planting seeds of dread. Yet Jesus' love, a boundless sea, Embracing all, for eternity. As He loved us, a selfless plea, To mirror His grace, for all to see. No room for hatred, no space for scorn, In love's embrace, a new day is born. Break down the walls, tear down the lies, Love one another, with open eyes. In Jesus' command, our souls ignite, To love as He loved, with all our might. Hate's dark seed, a murderer's deed, Though hands stay clean, the heart won't heed. Deny justice, love's gentle plea, A silent killer, for all to see. Food, shelter, water, a basic right, Denied to some, shrouded in night. Medical care, a lifeline's grace, Withheld from others, in time and space. Death's shadow lingers, where needs are unmet, A consequence dire, we can't forget. Look to our hearts, examine our souls, Are we acting as Jesus, reaching for goals? Or selfish desires, our guiding star, Ignoring the pain, near and far? In love's reflection, let truth arise, To serve one another, with open eyes. First John 3 13 to 16 Lord, You have given us so much, but not all of us have been given the same advantages as others.
