One More Day

She means everything to everyone. 
You created her, the moon, stars, and sun. 
A captivating presence in every way. 
Lord, we thank you for one more day. 
Her laughter and smile light up her face. 
And oh how welcoming to feel her embrace. 
Her beauty catches everyone's eye. 
But shines more so on the inside. 
Lord give her one more day.
Let it always stay this way. 
Even in her darkest hour,
release your life giving power. 
The Lord gives and takes away. 
But Jesus we ask for one more day.  
I think back to the days of old. 
She has more story to be told. 
Strengthen her by day. 
Watch over her at night,  
And give us one more day 
To have her in our life. 
Lord give her one more day.
