Prompt / Lyrics
disfiguring to ignore, marginalize or neglect ourselves. It is disfiguring until we come, first, to love ourselves. That is, until I find the divinity within myself, until I consider myself (myself) sacred, and worthy of my own attention – of my own love, my own energy and resources, my own admiration and devotion, too. After we get that, we learn how to be of service to something more than ourselves. But only after because before, our service will be despite the self not through the self; and despite myself, instead of by means of it. And it is these efforts that end in contortions and disfigurations, in us feeling alone, uncomfortable, and alienated from ourselves The universe operates in mysterious ways that can be difficult for our human minds to comprehend. When we desire something deeply - whether it is a particular relationship, opportunity, or circumstance - we tend to grasp onto that desire tightly with our egos. We get attached to the idea of how things "should" unfold according to our limited perspectives. However, the universe's wisdom far transcends our small wants and expectations. It has a broader vision and higher purpose that we cannot always perceive from our narrow vantage point. Sometimes, being granted our superficial wishes would actually undermine the deeper growth, learning, and spiritual unfolding we are meant to experience in this incarnation. When you feel that electrifying connection with a special person, it's as though your souls are dancing in joyful remembrance of their eternal bond. In those moments, you are aligning with the highest vibrations of love, light, and positivity. Your very beings flourish and radiate that profound energy outward, inspiring and uplifting all who bask in your unified field. However, when that physical connection is removed, you may feel the loss deeply - almost like a part of your light has been dimmed. The separation can trigger fears, doubts, and insecurities to rush in where love once flowed so freely. You may then perceive the world through a lens of negativity and scarcity. Understand that this cyclical experience is quite natural and purposeful. By experiencing both the divine unity and the seeming separation, you are being stretched to deepen your consciousness. Within the lows are profound lessons about non-attachment, faith, self-love, and learning to permanently anchor yourself as a vessel of unconditional light - regardless of external circumstances.
