Sugar-Coated Lies

I don’t know what to believe anymore,  
Your lies drip sweet, but they rot at the core.  
Sugar-coated melodies messing with my head,  
Knocking me down, leaving me for dead.  
You feed me poison, wrapped in honey,  
Blurring the hurt, twisting the ugly.  
But the scars, they scream beneath my skin,  
A broken love we’ll never win.  
Show me the light you always sell,  
But it flickers out like a burning shell.  
I’m lost in gray, where shadows play,  
And your ghost keeps pulling me astray.  
Every time I start to forget,  
You claw your way in, filled with regret.  
The walls I built, now shattered remains,  
Dust and rubble soaked in my pain.  
I’m done cleaning up what you destroy,  
Your love was a weapon, not a toy.  
The echoes of you still linger here,  
But I’m sick of drowning in your fear.
