More Than Friends

Hey, we're just friends, or so I thought,

But lately my feelings got caught,

In a maze of maybe, hope, and doubt,

What’s the right move when love's in route?

We talk for hours, laugh 'til dawn,

Share every secret, yeah, no holding on,

Your smile, your eyes, they pull me in,

But I wonder, can I let you in?

Is it safer to stay silent, keep it deep?

Or risk this friendship, take a leap?

My heart beats louder in my chest,

Caught between what's right and what's best.

What do I do if I want more?

Keep it cool, or open the door?

Should I tell her or stay in the shade?

Love's a game I might lose or win someday.

Maybe she feels it too, but fears the change,

Would friendship fade or rearrange?

I count the moments, yet I hide,

Hoping she’ll see the truth inside

So here I stand, my heart on my sleeve,

Waiting for her, what will be, will be,

To love her more, or let her go,

The choice is mine, and only I will know.
