We tend not to bend

Not to upend the trend

We fail to mend or befriend

No helping hand to lend

Our hearts never opened

No good will do we send

On us they can't depend

To hell we all descend

Refusing to be a friend

Actions we can not defend

As we journey to life's end

Is this really how we end

We should be at our best

But there's so much hate and unrest

As we clutch at our breast

Failing to welcome the guest

We are failing the real test

Determined to feather our own nest

All eyes look to the West

Once willing to invest

Only to find its all in jest

Our leadership they would request

Now we've become just a pest

Has seen its finest hour

An empire in decline despite the clear loud warning sign

We can hope we can pray
