Walking through the shadows, heavy on my mind

Searching for the light that I thought I'd find

Working hard every day, fighting just to stay afloat

Breaking down my barrier, carrying a heavy load

Knuckles bruised, feet worn, tears shed in silent pain

Yet I keep on reaching, longing for a brighter dawn again

In a world that takes more than it gives

I seek the grace where my spirit lives

My Savior, I meet you in the night

Your spirit lifts me, restores my light

In Your love, I find my peace

My soul is Yours, and it will never cease

Satan’s shadow looming, whispering despair

But I have a fortress, a refuge from the snare

His spirit regenerates, breathes life into my core

With every breath I take, I love You more and more
