Dark pool of depression

I'm treading water but the tide pulls me down

A quiet scream where no one hears a sound

Shadow dance beneath my feet

The surface haunts me with a faint shimmer of glow

But the weight of the dark keeps me below

The current pulls me where there is no light

Searching for a hand to pull me out

Dark water rises with no light to see.
