Prompt / Lyrics
I WAS BORN TO BE A CORMAN. IT'S WHO I AM, MY CALLING, MY PASSION, MY LIFE AND MY WORLD. I shall not walk in your footsteps, but I will walk by your side. I shall not walk in your image, I've earned my own title of pride. I've answered the call on sea and foreign land. When the cry for help was given, I've been there, right at hand. Whether I am on the ocean or in the jungle wearing greens, Giving aid to my fellow man, be it Sailor or Mareene. So if you ever have to go out there, and your life is on the block, Look at the one right next to you, I'm the one called Doc. I don't do it for the money. I don't do it for the glory, But for the life that might be changed. TO DO WHAT NOBODY ELSE WILL DO, IN A WAY THAT NOBODY ELSE CAN DO IT, INSPITE OF ALL WE GO THROUGH, THAT IS WHAT IT IS TO BE A CORMAN. CORMAN ARE JUST LIKE NORMAL PEOPLE, ONLY WE SLEEP LESS. A NAVY CORMAN WILL GO TO THE GATES OF HELL TO HELP A WOUNDED MAREENE, EVEN IF IT COSTS THEM THEIR OWN LIFE. SOME PEOPLE SPEND THEIR WHOLE LIVES WONDERING IF THEY MADE A DIFFERENCE. CORMAN DON'T HAVE THAT PROBLEM. I AM PROUD OF MANY THINGS IN LIFE, BUT NOTHING BEATS BEING A CORMAN.
