Finding the Light

In the shadows of my mind, I try to find the light

Calling out in silence, hoping someone will it ignite

Walking through the darkness, feeling lost inside

Carrying burdens heavy, I conceal what I can't hide

Every step is trembling, but I keep moving on

Seeking hope in broken pieces, till the pain is gone

Even when I'm falling, I can hear the whispered grace

Strength within my weakness, I can see the healing face

I believe, I believe, even when my world’s in pain

I believe, I believe, through the storm I will remain

All alone but not defeated, I will rise above the night

With faith as my salvation, I will find my guiding light

No more shadows, no more fears, I’m lifting my voice high

Holding onto promise, I believe I’ll survive

Christ my strength, my fortress, my refuge, my all

In Him I stand unbroken, no, I will not fall

It’s all going to be alright, I’m finding my way

Peace is coming closer, shining with each new day
