I'm bent, but not broken....

Depression tries to convince you that nothing will ever change.
But... Jesus reminds you that despair is not the end of the story.
He meets you in the heaviness and He stays with you and brings you out of it. 
True hope, it's not found in temporary relief...
It's found in Jesus Christ.

I battle depression...
Yes, there are wounds that never show on the body that are deeper and more hurtful than anything that bleeds.
Depression doesn't get to hold me down, for God will bring me into the light.
He will be my refuge in times of trouble, strengthening my weariness and providing me with a purpose through my faith. 
I'm bent, but not broken....

Even faithful people experience deep despair, hopelessness, and sorrow.
Jesus also experienced profound anguish, weeping and crying out in Gethsemane and on the cross.
These emotions are part of the human, and divine, experience.
The scriptures offer hope through God's presence, comfort, and promises, encouraging prayer and reliance on Him during times of darkness, affirming He is near the brokenhearted.
