Wandering feet on desert dusts

Dreams of a place that's more than just

A land of milk a land of honey

A promise kept that means more than money

Stone tablets carved on the mount above

Words of law and words of love

A guiding light through the darkest night

A covenant bound forever tight

Walls may fall fears may grow

But your voice is the seed we sow

With every step the ground shall sing

Of the freedom only you can bring

Forty years of sun and sand

Still you held us with your hand

Through the doubt through the strife

You are the river running through life

We rise we march we stand

To the edge of the golden promise land

With hearts of faith and broken chains

Through trials tears and holy rains

The desert winds shall howl tonight

We follow stars with fading light

The burning sand beneath my feet

A promise cries where skies and earth meet

Mountains tremble when he speaks

In humble valleys the faithful seek

Tables of stone and holy flames
