They tried to take away my right to write these lines

But critics and cynics can’t script these rhymes

You can’t tell the time, so how do you expect to read my mind

Sixteen shots can’t stop what I’m bringing tonight

Fuck mass appeal, this is real, this is how I feel

But still, people try to separate and desecrate what they did not create

It’s truth, it’s music, it’s what flows through me that motivates me to do this

This is a reflection of who I am

They are able to place labels on these fables that they wrote

But violence cannot silence my kind, it’s not a joke

This is a reflection of my life and I paid the price

I stood before my maker and heard him say it’s not my time

I looked within myself and felt that I still had a story to tell

So somebody out there knows somebody cares when life seems so unfair

Even when it seems like all that exists are these hypocrites that talk shit

That look down on them like they do to me, but now’s the time to see
