Elisha walked with power a prophet of might
Dividing the Jordan displaying God's light
He made poisoned waters fresh and so pure
And multiplied oil for a widow secure
A barren woman with a son now in hand
By God's great provision throughout the land
A dead boy restored to breath and to life
Elisha's miracles cutting through strife
Naaman the leper a warrior of fame
Sought healing in Israel answering God's name
He doubted at first the river so muddy
But humbled himself and obeyed completely
He dipped seven times as the prophets declared
His skin was restored his body repaired
From arrogance humbled to gratitude's plea
Naaman found healing and learned to see
Second Kings
Chariots of fire on the hills they stood
But the kingdom fell where the proud once would
Prophets spoke loud but the hearts turned cold
Gold to idols while the truth was sold
A king with no vision led the sheep astray
While the wolves moved in took the flock away
Rivers dried up temples turned to dust
In the courts of the wicked there was no trust
Judah danced with shadows under Babylon’s sky
Israel wept while the Assyrians cried
The northern tribes scattered like leaves in the wind
The southern gates burned for the weight of their sins
Lamentations whispered in the night so deep
A covenant broken promises we couldn't keep
The vine once strong now withered and dry
But the roots remain though the branches die
Tell me where the kings are now where's the crown
and the sacred vow in the ashes can we still be found
Kingdoms rise and kingdoms fall
Walls of stone but hearts too small
Echoes ring through the prophet's call
But the writing's clear on the palace wall
Second Kings
In Judah’s realm a young king arose
Josiah with a heart that truly knows
At sixteen he sought the Lord's command
To cleanse the land with a righteous hand
Idols shattered altars torn apart
A revival kindled in every heart
The Book of Law rediscovered with glee
A covenant renewed for all to see
But shadows linger fate's cruel design
A borrowed axe a stroke misaligned
In the Jordan's depths a tool descends
A moment’s loss where fortune bends
Yet kindness shown a debt repaid
The iron floats a miracle displayed
Reform and grace a fleeting stay
For doom awaits on a fateful day
