Bridges of Heart

Words like a mountain, heavy and cold

Can’t forget, but I’ll try to let go

Love’s a fragile thread we hold so tight

Trying to find peace in the midst of the night

Mama's voice cut deeper than I knew

Unspoken wounds, feelings untrue

Her love for you, I always believed

But her words now, it's hard to conceive

I know she loves, but she’s lost her way

Cold words spoken, I wish they could stray

From the hurt that’s laid into my heart

Trying to mend what’s torn apart

How do I come back from this, tell me how?

When her coldness feels like a storm now
