The Abyss Screams Back

Eyes wide in a mirror of teeth,

Swallowed whole by the thought beneath.

Cracks in time bleed through my chest,

I begged for peace — the void confessed.

Scratching lines into my skin,

Truth crawls out from deep within.

It never whispered, never lacked…

It only waited to scream back.

The abyss screams back — and I break!

Echoes fracture every fake.

What I buried now consumes,

Tearing through these mental rooms.

The abyss screams back — no control!

Wearing flesh like burning coal.

I stare into myself… and fall…

There’s no bottom here at all.

Voices spiral, fed on fear,

Every silence now a spear.

I called it darkness — but it knew,

It was just a version of the truth.

Reflections twitch with knowing grin,

It wasn't hell — it came from in.

The scream was mine. Distorted track.

Played in loops… The void screamed back.

The abyss screams back — and I break!

Sanity begins to flake.

Every lie I told myself,

Is laughing now from someplace else.

The abyss screams back — I reply,

With one last curse before I die.

But in that scream, a thread of sound…

I’m still here… I’m not yet drowned.

Not silence. Not death.

But feedback… breath…

The abyss screams back — but I stand.

My blood, my will, my broken hand.

If this is hell, I’ll set it right —

And scream until I make a light.

You scream into the dark…

And it screams you back into being.
