Soul

Can you hear me now because the time is near there’s no looking back what I see is clear. Times like this really bring you home to the place which feels alone. 

Tonight’s the night I gave you my soul, wherever you must take me my heart is near. Hear me now when I speak my truth there’s no looking back.

So take my soul to the stars I see, let me spread my wings where I was meant to be.

When you let me down all looks too familiar. what am I seeing now in this worn down town. Am I already here or is it a dream I fear. Please just leave me alone I don’t need you here. My mind races through every change cursed my way. I’m done begging for the pain to go away.  Please wake me from this tear.

So take my soul to the stars I see, let me spread my wings where I was meant to be. 

When I believe I’ve found my way you have the blessing of giving that away. Now I stand broken and bloodied. What arises from the ashes is not the angel one wishes. But a man wiser than riches. A curse of knowledge and wisdom where he can’t stay. And what lies beneath the surface is a man pure and clear wishing for nothing but a better world. 

Please lord give me my soul. Oh lord please give me my soul. Lord I am yours may you guide my soul.

As you stroke my hair I pack away the mind and store away the heart. We open our eyes and nothings felt so clear. You’re my savior oh my dear. Please help me keep the demons away. Lock away the key and let it disappear. Until next time we meet but it’ll not be here.

So take our souls to the stars we see, let’s spread our wings where we were meant to be. Let us sour so free god lets us breathe.
