Are we just actors

Masks tied tight

Drifting through scenes

On a current we don't control

Tides of existence

Pull

Then shove

Lines in our mouths

But who wrote this scroll

Looking in the mirror a reflection

I do not know

Explorers on the edge

Crusaders of the tides (hey!)

Are we actors

Or are we so much more

Every scar

Every dare

Is a door we came here for

In each experience lies joy

In each fall we rise once more

Rust on our armor

Dust on our names

Still we ride forward

Through the old

Strange lands

Are we just echoes

Of a hidden hand

Or makers of meaning

With blood on our plans

Explorers on the edge

Every wound

Every fear

Is a door we came here for

Mid-evil hearts

In a bright new age

Still carving truth

In a world of stage
