Saving Grace

In a world spinning out of control

Where we can see their face while ignoring their soul

Where the poor are forgotten neglected and abused

Where we judge marginalize and everyone seems so confused

We watch the decline year after year

As politicians stoke our fear

Always fueling division

They cultivate distrust and suspicion

Experiencing radical change

We've become so deranged

Distrust despair and indecent

Makes you wonder where our values went

Have we lost our collective mind

This defies what was designed

Peace and hope we still can find

If we'd all accept and be kind

Its a simple truthful fact

That its not too late to act

We all need to open eyes and see

That each one of us holds the key

Paralyzed into inaction we fail to gain traction

A result of our dissatisfaction a reaction to the distraction as we fraction into our faction its time now to take action

Neither climate or our hate

Is destined to decide our fate

We can unite and rule the day

Or we can watch it all go away

The choice is up to you

Will you do what you need to do?

Have we lost our collective mind

This defies what was designed
