Vanishing act

Shadow stretched against the wall silent scream

Hands shake like broken glass they gleam

Eyes burn from staring at the edge so clean

I’m a storm built to break what’s serene

Every breath like a razor cuttin’ deep

Words explode but the silence I keep

Don’t wanna leave scars when they try to sleep

Rather fade than hear their hearts weep

Wanna disappear like a ghost in the rain

Stop the needle driving through their vein

Tired of being the echo of their pain

Vanish now before I leave another stain

Footsteps heavy like a loaded chain I drag

Tied to a wreck I raise their white flag

No salvation in the mirror shadows nag

And I fall again into the eternal black bag

Hopes shiver like leaves in the gale

I’m a toxin running through their fragile tale

If escaping saves them then I won't fail

Disappearing’s freedom from this poisoned trail
