Prompt / Lyrics
Verse 1 I stepped in the elevator, just minding my own feet, Ten folks packed inside like a sardine meet-and-greet. Button for the lobby, everyone stood still… Then my belly rumbled like a thunder on a hill. The doors went ding, we started to ascend, My stomach whispered, “Buddy… this might be the end.” I tried to hold the pressure like a hero in a game… But then the elevator filled with mystery and shame. Chorus 🎶 I farted again… I farted again! The whole elevator looked around like, “Who let that in?” Silent but deadly, like a ninja in the night, Someone hit the emergency button out of fright! I farted again… I farted again! Grandma dropped her purse and blamed the tall man named Ken. Nobody knew, but my grin gave it away… I farted again today! 🎶 Verse 2 The businessman coughed and checked his fancy tie, A kid said, “Mom… something here just died.” A lady sprayed perfume like a firefighter hose, But the smell fought back and punched us in the nose. The elevator climbed… floor two… floor three… Everybody slowly scooted away from me. A guy near the buttons looked ready to cry, And the janitor muttered, “That ain’t normal, my guy.” Chorus 🎶 I farted again… I farted again! The whole elevator turned into a panic pen. Someone blamed the dog that wasn’t even there, Another dude started fanning the air. I farted again… I farted again! Now the air was thicker than grandma’s chicken hen… pie! Doors opened wide and the crowd ran away… I farted again today! 🎶 Bridge The elevator emptied faster than a race, Leaving just a security guard staring at my face. He said, “Son… what happened in this metal box?” I said, “Probably… ghosts… or invisible socks.” (tiny tuba solo) Final Chorus 🎶 I farted again… I farted again! Echo bouncing off the elevator den. Next time I’ll take the stairs instead of the ride… Or warn the passengers to stand outside! I farted again… I farted again! Legend of the elevator will never end. If you hear a rumble while the doors slide shut… Better pray it ain’t my butt! 🎶
