Make a Way

The weight is crushing; I can’t break free,

A thousand doubts are consuming me.

The darkness whispers, pulling me down,

I’m crying out, but there’s no sound.

Oh Lord, I’m weary, my soul’s worn thin,

But You remind me where You’ve been.

You walked through valleys deep and cold,

You carried sorrow no one knows.

When I’m broken, lost, and afraid,

You are my strength; You’ll make a way.

Elijah prayed beneath that tree,

“Take my life; let it end with me.”

But even then, You didn’t let go,

You gave him rest and strength to grow.

Oh God, I’m pleading, come meet me here,

In this despair, please draw me near.

When I’m broken, lost, and afraid,

You are my strength; You’ll make a way.

Like Paul in chains, I’m bound by fear,

A captive heart that aches to hear.

But in the silence, Your truth remains,

Your love unchains me from the pain.

Like David hiding in the cave,

Or Jonah wishing for the grave,

You found them there; You heard their cries,

And showed them love that never dies.

Now in this storm, I’ll cling to You,

Your grace will carry me through.
