SACRAMENTO GLOW

Yeah…

One of those days you don’t plan…

But you never forget.

Took a drive down to Sacramento, California with my son by my side

Windows down bass thumpin loud

My daughter&Son in law. smiling, brand new life on her hand

I Said, “Let’s make a memory nobody ever planned”

Helicopter waiting, blades cutting through the air

Heart beating fast, little nerves right there

Me and her both laughing like, “Should we really go?”

But we lifted off slow… watching the whole world glow and the pilot was cool too.

City turning pink, lights dancing in the trees

From way up high it felt like a dream to me

Fear turned into freedom in the evening air

That moment right there… yeah we were flying somewhere When we landed, smiles we couldn’t hide.

Oh-Lalala Sunset over Sacramento, lights all glittering below shining like a show

We were up so high, hearts letting go

Even when the road got slow

Next day riding rails where the old trains used to go

Pedal bikes on tracks moving nice and slow

Me and my son, my daughter too

Grandbaby laughing at the sky so blue

Peace in the moment, wind in our hair. My legs started hurting, so I hit the throttle too.

One of those days you wish you could share

No rush, no stress, just rolling along the rails.

Life felt like it turned into a song railroad crossing people stopped for us, when the gates went down, lights are flashing sound of train horns coming through.

Sometimes the quiet moments mean the most

Those little laughs you don’t even post

Just love in the air, everybody close

Yeah that’s what I remember the most
