A Cry for Help

Dear God… Heavenly Father…

I don’t know how I will make it

I am not sure how much of this I can take

My heart has been heavy

I don’t know how I’m not going to break

Nowadays, it feels like you’re not with me

Or maybe it’s me who doesn’t see

Am I missing the signs?

Or maybe I’m not praying enough

Or listening to your words enough

But here I am saying I need you

I can’t do this without you

God, help me handle what I’ve been given

Enlighten me each day

Provide for me and give me strength

I am forever dependent on you, Lord

Bring a spark of hope

Help me cope

Please don’t let me miss my purpose

Guide me all the way through
