Complete Defeat

I've been through a lot, done every drug known to mankind. Even died nine times, leaving me wondering why I survived. Time after time I continued to try. Caught in the grips slipping down the slide, couldn't do nothing but hide. Ashamed of myself, hating myself, even thought about killing myself. Homeless in the streets feeling completely beat. Lost and alone my cover was blown. With no where to turn I looked to the Sky unable to deny what was needed, washed in his blood and a brand new season.

Coming to the cross that was what I needed wondering what my purpose was because my heart was bleeding
Coming to the cross that was what I needed depleted of the goodness I had on the inside. crying and trying not to die.
Coming to the cross that was what I needed, driven by demons now forgiven and I'm headed for the kingdom in the sky.

Life's different today, I don't even play hold my head high, full of hope and not the dope that wanted me to die. No longer homeless or goalless I've turned over a new leaf and got off the streets. No longer broke down busted and disgusted confused about my life. New direction, deflection of the evil and all of my sin. A chance to start again. Family and friends, even got a church the Lord knows I'm all in, Im not ever going back, I recognize the spiritual attack.
