Endless Abyss

A whisper calls beneath the ground,

Cold and quiet, no one’s found.

Flickering light in endless dark,

A hollow spark without a heart.

Vocalization [whispered]

“I’m fading, I’m fading…”

I reach, but nothing’s there to hold,

The door is closed, the warmth is cold.

Footsteps echo in empty halls,

The silence shouts, the darkness calls.

“There’s nowhere, nowhere left to go…”

I was never lost—

The shadows never had me.

I felt the cold, but didn’t break,

And yet, I kept on walking.

“I kept on walking, I kept on falling…”

A glimpse of light, it flickers out,

I swear I hear my name.

Fading faster, time’s undone,

But I will never change.

“I never change, I never change…”
